See this example for “Fred Frith” below:

Fred’s website is going to have very low visibility and search engine traction for what he does unless someone already knows him by name and is actively seeking him and his talent. What does Fred do, you ask? Great question. You would never know from the search results but Fred is a songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. You should be able to tell that from the search results if the SEO is done properly.
As you can see below, this is what a more SEO optimized page name and title would look like. It includes who the person is (product/service) and a description to give you more info about him – making it much easier to decide to click on his website vs someone else based on what you’re looking for.

There’s more to great SEO than just title tags and meta descriptions on your website’s pages – but this is a core part of your foundation that must be the starting place for any successful website. If your pages aren’t properly labeled, you are losing out on un-paid search visibility. Give me a call today.
